Biking

 

The island’s countless country lanes and seaside roads make them a great place for walking, but mainly for biking. A bike is basically a requirement for every camper at the island because it is so much easier than trying the bumpy roads in a car. It is also more convenient for short distance travel, like from one site to another. Some great biking streets include Dune Way, West Dune Way, Joe’s Head Road, Island Road, Cross Island, or Harbor Grove. Please note that it is island policy that helmets should be worn by everyone when biking. As for bike parking, there is one bike rack on the island which is located at the fenced off bike parking area located outside of the Kelp Shed. So be sure to pack the bikes and leave the hassle at home. (see biking map in downloads section or below)

Please Note: Bikes are not allowed on the hiking trails.
